Eric Litwin, best-selling author of the original four Pete the Cat books, The Nuts and Groovy Joe is one of the keynote speakers for the upcoming 35th Annual R.T. Garcia Early Childhood Winter Conference. Hosted by Harris County Department of Education, the value-priced, daylong conference attracts approximately 1,000 early educators yearly and is one of the largest early childhood conferences in Texas. This year’s event, although VIRTUAL, promises to be equally as excellent if not better!

Breakout sessions will provide attendees with innovative ideas in subjects like bilingual education, reading, math, social-emotional learning, fine arts and more. Vendors will provide educational materials and novel educator products.

Dr. Kenneth Wesson, the second keynote speaker, speaks on the subjects of early brain development, design and engineering, STEM and ST2REAM, social-emotional learning and curriculum development. His keynote addresses are frequently grounded in the question, “If It’s Your Job to Develop the Mind, Shouldn’t You Know How the Brain Works?”  Register for this exciting event on our HCDE website.
